BOP at CES 2025: Proud and Pumped by Global Interest in Senior Safety

We've just returned from an incredible week at CES 2025 in Las Vegas, and what an experience it’s been! Showcasing BOP (Buddy of Parents) on the world’s largest tech stage was a milestone moment for our team—a chance to share our mission of helping seniors age in place safely through thoughtful, human-centered technology.

But what truly blew us away was the strong global interest in BOP. From caregivers and healthcare providers to system integrators and technologists, the conversations we had were filled with encouragement, energy, and a shared belief in creating smarter, more compassionate eldercare solutions. We left CES feeling not just proud—but pumped about the potential for BOP to make a difference worldwide.

A Moment of Pride for Singapore

One of the proudest moments was being featured in The Straits Times, which highlighted how our BOP Button, BOP Monitor, and BOP Presence are addressing real-world challenges faced by seniors who live alone. Huge thanks to Lim Yan Liang for spotlighting BOP as one of six Singapore-based AgeTech solutions to watch. Check out this link to read the article

The article rightly pointed out that wearable devices often fall short—requiring seniors to remember to wear and charge them—while CCTVs can feel invasive and not to mention easily hackable. BOP stands apart by being non-intrusive, always ready, and simple to use—providing peace of mind without compromising privacy.

Expanding the BOP Family

At CES, we proudly introduced two new additions to the BOP family:

BOP Monitor
A discreet fall detection device that uses thermal imaging, not cameras. It recognises when a senior has fallen and alerts our 24/7 BOP Response Centre who will ensure that the help is dispatched quickly.

BOP Presence
A smart-plug looking device that uses Wi-Fi sensing to learn daily movement patterns. It discretely monitors your loved one’s activity patterns and keeps you updated when there are changes that need your attention. For example, if Mum hasn’t gotten out of bed at her usual time, maybe she is unwell.

These innovations join our flagship BOP Button, already deployed in over 10,000 homes across Singapore, giving seniors an easy and reliable way to call for help with just one press.

Global Interest

Some of the most inspiring moments came from people who stopped by our booth and shared their stories, ideas, and support:

  • ? System integrators from Douglasville, Georgia saw real applications for BOP in care facilities and residential communities.

  • ? Tennessee Valley Authority explored how BOP could strengthen care and safety across their operations.

  • ? Tektelic Communications, our longtime LoRaWAN partner, reaffirmed their partnership and shared ideas for scaling globally.

  • ? Tech guru Jared Bendis of Ideastream Public Media even did a live stream from our booth, sharing how impressed he was with the BOP Button’s simplicity and usefulness. Check out this link to watch the video :

These encounters reminded us that while what we have created in tiny Singapore has the potential to can go very far.

From all of us at the BOP team, thank you for being part of our journey. Your support energises us to keep innovating. Together, we’re building a future where every senior can age safely in the comfort of their own homes.

Let’s keep going. The best is yet to come.
