At 15, Mdm Lim learned to drive. She did not know it then but that skill would sustain her through most of her life. She went on to become a bus driver, steering everything from worker vans to public buses, all while blazing a trail for other women in a male dominated field. Her independence, resilience, and sunny spirit are unmistakable.
Today, at 75, she lives alone and manages just fine. “I’m not worried about myself” she says. “But I know my children worry.”
And that’s why she now has a BOP button in her living room, watching over her 24/7 and giving her children the peace of mind knowing that help is a button away.
